Back to Album

The Nile River is home to several piscine species. This slim, eel-like protopterid is the African Lungfish. Its smallest size is 24-inches (44-cm) long but can grow up to almost 7-feet (2.13-m) in length. It can extract oxygen from the air as well as from water.
