Public Drinking Water

Egypt - Luxor - Public Drinking Water

Thirsty? Take the cup and dip into the clay vessel for some drinking water. Either sip from the cup or fill your water bottle. Many public drinking water vessels are set in the shade to keep the water cool. Sometimes, cups are attached to vessels with cords. On the right of this photo, the vessels are empty, without covers or cups.
